About
Xu Tang, a PhD student in Architecture at Cambridge, holds a B.E. in Architecture and later completed a Master’s degree at RMIT University, where he received Design Excellence awards and had his graduation project featured in an emerging architects publication. Previously, he worked as a Research Assistant at HKU, focusing on public health, building simulation, and generative design. His research combines computational design, optimization, AI, and machine learning to address challenges in climate change, built environment analysis, and public health. His current work specifically investigates the relationships between built-environment exposures and health outcomes, aiming to develop evidence-based design strategies that enable architects, urban designers, and planners to improve public health outcomes.
