Heat, Health & Resilient Futures
Health and Climate Action for Equitable Heat-Resilient Futures — an interdisciplinary afternoon of research, dialogue and public engagement.
About the Event
Heat is increasingly recognised as one of the most significant climate-related risks to human health, wellbeing and everyday life. As heatwaves become more frequent, intense and prolonged, both acute extreme heat events and chronic long-term exposure place growing pressure on cities, buildings, health systems and communities.
This event will showcase interdisciplinary research, behavioural and design adaptation approaches and global perspectives on heat, health and the built environment — jointly organised by the Cambridge Sustainable Design Group (University of Cambridge) and the LSHTM Climate and Health Group (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine).
