About
Dr Lei Xu is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Singapore-ETH Centre, working at the intersection of urban climate resilience, heat adaptation, and liveability in tropical cities. His research integrates environmental physics, field measurement, computational modelling, and data-driven inference to understand how urban neighbourhoods and buildings respond to climate stress across scales. In 2024, he was a Visiting Researcher with the Cambridge Sustainable Design Group.
His work focuses on urban heat exposure, outdoor thermal comfort, microclimate-aware building energy modelling, and uncertainty-aware prediction. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, he develops actionable knowledge and decision-support tools for shaping resilient, low-carbon, and human-centred cities.
